If you follow me on Instagram, you would have seen me talking about launching my Patreon tomorrow evening (Tuesday 1st Feb), at 7pm. Eeeek, I'm so excited!
You might be wondering what Patreon is? Patreon is a tier based, membership platform, that let's you get closer to artists and creators, but supporting them in return for exclusive, Patreon only content.
If you've been with me a while, you might remember in lockdown, when I went live every Thursday on Instagram, showing you (and your kids) how to draw different characters from beloved animated films and cartoons. Well, as time went on, I came to realise; I miss it. So I will be recreating some of that magic over on Patreon, and I can't wait.
Let me give you a little bit more background. I'm a former animator for Cbeebies. I worked on kids cartoons such as Numberblocks and Tree Fu Tom. I still want to celebrate our love for animated characters, by drawing and creating, with you, some brand new characters that would fit into their worlds!
I'm keeping my Patreon simple by only having two tiers. If you're in The Drawalong tier, each month, I will share which animated movie we are going to focus on, along with a worksheet or character design ideas and colour palettes, AND a colouring in sheet of my character from the Drawalong
There are a couple of ways you can take part in the Drawalong with me:
✨2) Create your own character, using the worksheet to help you get started, and let me keep you company whilst I draw mine
✨3) Enjoy the Drawalong and colour in my character, from the sheet I'll send you, at the same time.
Everything will be family friendly, so if this isn't for YOU, it could be for your children. You can treat the Drawalong like an after school club, to help keep your child's creativity and imagination fired up. It is suitable for all ages from 4 to 104!
My other tier is THE MAGIC MAKERS, which includes a fortnightly podcast about what I'm up to in the studio, as well as access to a Patreon only webshop, that includes some sale items and other specialities not available anywhere else. It's a way for you to give me a special thumbs up of support. You will be helping me to make the magic ✨
